Only weird part is 'new engine' but otherwise looks legit
Good luck!

I have my doubts, a new engine would cover half of the asking price, if not more. If a guy is willing to go to that trouble, he knows how much the vehicle should sell for. This is a $12K Haffy at least.
I can't sell a lawnmower on Craigslist without scammers inquiring. It works both ways.
Blurry photos are usually a red flag, too.

Send him the money first via Western Union
But you may have to send it to his brother in Kazakhstan
Hope it works out and is not a fake ad

Odd...that does not look like the first picture. Arvada is not that far from me...get an address and perhaps I can make a trip that way to see it.
But, if it is in Nigeria or somewhere like that it isn't going to work.

Nice guy. Had the engine rebuilt by a volkswagon shop, but its leaking oil - thus the price. He's going to give me a general idea of where the leak is tonight.

Anyone close to Arvada willing to take a look at it for me?

Update:
Like all that called on this Haffie it took some work to get the seller to call back, but persistence paid off. After many weeks of long distance coordination the Haffie arrived in Oregon the day before the start of NW MogFest. It's a pretty nice example of a Swiss Military. Transmission shifts nice, engine doesn't smoke, cleaned up the engine and drove it at MogFest all weekend without any issues. Some funky euro mods like a tape deck stereo and speakers. Has a few undisclosed dings but the seller dropped the price $500 for not listing the dents in the ad.

Very cool looking, in that setting especially. It seems like the best deals are the ones that require work and waiting.

That would be a good pic to add to the rotator above!
