An interesting find ( if not a scam).
Most of the ad reads as if taken from the web, with the writer not knowing anything about Pinzgauers. How does a 6 wheel vehicle become a 2x or 4x ? They’re either 6x4 or 6x6.
Even 8 passengers is an odd number for a K. (unless not including the driver) and is still not a standard configuration.

The only thing that seems straight is the contact phone #. It comes up to a business in Vermont.

Besides the lack of pictures, it would be nice to know if LHD, or RHD and if it was made for the military vs civilian ( = insulation/sound deadening).

For those that care to know more: 1989 would be a P80 ( has the smaller slant radiator cover). The odometer goes to 100K, so possible that it has flipped once or twice.
For basic numbers, there were roughly 6000 TDs made in Austria up to 2000 when the factory was moved to the UK, and roughly 1200 (soft skin and Vectors) were made in the UK… and almost all were RHD....it makes GG all that more special :)

If it is an unmolested 718K (especially if LHD) that would be a good price. But as always, buyer beware and get a good inspection.

Another member here got this in response to this ad.

Question sent: "Any photos of the 718?"

Response: "One must understand, there are too may requests as such that exists. Pictures, I have to retrieve, load and send.
The unit inside and out is show room quality. I do not miss - represents an item I have for sale. Life is too short to miss - inform others. Their time is also of essence."

So, STAY AWAY!!!!

Well that does look pretty legit. There is a bottle of Windex showing in one of the photos and there is a large america 70s type car in the background of one of the photos along with large blue tarps - typical rural america...

THe blue light and monsterous air conditioner are a bit odd... wonder what it was used for or spec'd for?
