I just ordered a new Warn Zeon 10 24v winch for the SAR Pinz. I typically do 20-30 hard pulls a year and want the assurance of knowing that the winch I'm using is in great shape and able to withstand those conditions.
Therefore I'm selling the 24V Mile Marker that was installed on the Pinz when I bought it. I've done 3-4 hard pulls (one of them required 3 snatch blocks) and it has performed without issue. It doesn't have any model number but the previous owner tells me it is a 9K winch, based on it's pulling power that seems right and it aligns with Mile Marker's product line for 24V winches.
PROS:
- 24V with low power draw during hard pulls
- Synthetic Line with rock guard
- Key lock-out (the on-off switch twists to off and removes, similar to the master power switch in the Pinz, to prevent unauthorized use)
- Has been extremely water resistant during use in Pacific Northwest rain/snow, have had no issues at all
- Includes high capacity lead power and ground cables (I don't know the gauge off hand but it appeared to be 2 gauge)
CONS:
- Unknown lifespan, it came with the vehicle so I have no first hand knowledge of it's performance over time, I've only been running it for a few months
- Synthetic line is frayed (nothing that worried me it was going to fail but it does have some visible light fraying from use, visible in photo)
- May benefit from a rebuild/fresh grease. The gears are noisier than my Warn winches, not sure if it's typical for Mile Marker or if it's indicative of needing a fresh batch of lube, but if I was going to keep it and run it I would open it up and check the brushes and lube it up.
What it comes down to is this. I have always run Warn winches, I know what to expect from them, my use case involves life safety with many people depending on it working without risk of failure (I know, no such thing actually exists). So I'm going new to ensure that when I'm on scene and using it, I know it's history and reliability. It's that simple.
I'll post pictures in my next post (it's easier to do that from Tapatalk than on PC). If you're interested, PM me. Price is for local pick-up in Washington. I know several commercial shippers and can get you a quote shipped to your location. I'll use the shipping materials from my Warn Winch to ensure it gets there in one piece. Preferred payment is cash or PayPal or I'll need to wait for your check to clear.
Asking $350 OBO.

Mile Marker 24V 9K winch for sale with synthetic winch line
This is for sale again. Previous buyer never came and got it. Works great and includes connection cables as well as both an aluminum fairlead (shown in the pictures) as well as a brand new Warn roller fairlead that came with my new winch. I also have a Factor 55 thimble in anthracite grey that I'll make a deal on if anyone is interested. Its shown on the winch in the photos but ill try to grab a better photo later this afternoon.
