710K and axles auction in UK

Post by VinceAtReal4x4s »

For those in the UK: https://www.i-bidder.com/en-gb/auction- ... 7e00c4b6de

Interesting K. I assume this is a Swiss K with Austrian light guards and TD cowl/brush guard, with interesting wheel coverings and a "mini winch".

The description says the axles are "ABS".

The "K" has fuses - so wouldn't it be an Austrian version and not swiss? Just a different windscreen? Those wheel covers are odd - perhaps to reduce snow packing into the wheels?

Also - these are diesel axles I expect - so different diff and portal gear ratios? Or is it just the portal ratio that is different. At least they look well packed for shipping!

That model has been spec'd for non-military use straight from the factory.
Split windscreen is unique for Austrian army models, but the fuses typ is no indication. I have seen melting fuses and automats in various versions. The ashtray in the passenger side door also points at non-military specs..
The grill is a useless decoration....
