Cheap transit rims...US

Post by one2many »

I stumbled across this ad while looking for some rims in Australia, not much help for me but I thought I'd post it as these seemed pretty cheap compared to paying new prices. Ad says it's a "conversion company" hence rims are genuine ford with only 10 miles on each. They are the 6.5x16 / 5x160 rims that take a common "off the shelf" 60 degree taper wheelnut sought after by some air cooled pinz owners and they appear to have a reasonable stock too.

Hope it's useful

Yes - those are the USA version of the Transit wheel - there also is a European version which I like better as it has round holes and not the ovals so it looks more like the TD Pinzgauer wheels.

That image doesn't show the correct lug pattern though...

These currently cost about $360 USD delivered for a quantity of 4 - so $90 each. How they can deliver them from Germany to the USA for $50 I don't understand...

Here is a set on a 712K for reference:

Be careful to not order "Ford Transit "Connect" wheels as they have a smaller bolt circle - won't fit.
