For Sale: 1971 Pinzgauer 710M ***SOLD***

Post by jrcotner »

I'm going to have to move for work and need to whittle down my stuff, and unfortunately the PInz has to go. I got it in 2009 from Expedition Imports. It's been very reliable and I've kept all of my receipts and have a log of all service I've done on my own. It has 45,444 km on the odometer, but this is not accurate. The odometer stopped working in 2013 and it was a few weeks before I noticed and got it rebuilt. Here's a list of the work that's been done on it:

New rub rails finished in marine varnish
Painted in 2009. There are a few minor rub marks and some chips on the wheels, but overall it is still pretty nice. I have a quart of touch-up paint
Front seats recovered with cloth
Rebuilt carbs (2011)
LED tail lights
Cylinders bored, hardened valve seats, new pistons and rings, heads inspected and repaired or replaced (2012)
Rebuilt distributor 2012 (A-1 Distributor). I just got it back from them for cleaning and new springs
Petronix ignition
New coil (2015)
New turn signal switch
Relined main gas tank
Restuffed rear seats
Rear seat belts on E-track
Rebuilt fuel pump
New 4X4 master cylinder, rebuilt front and rear locker master cylinders
EI side steps
Safety glass windshield
Rebuilt speedometer (2013)
SAV aftermarket wiper motor
Yokohama tires have 8.37mm tread depth
New NAPA batteries (July 2018)
Titled and registered in Tennessee
All pioneer tools, tow rope, jack, tire chains, scrub kit, spare gas can
I'll throw in all of the specialty tools and spare parts I have laying around

Here are some problems or things that it needs :

The doors need weather stripping
The jack was rebuilt in 2009 and worked up until about a year ago
The original top has a few patches and keeps out the sun but it's not perfect. I just replaced some of the old leather tabs and straps with new leather, and would include the spare leather and rivets

The muffler has a few braze patches and will need to be replaced some day.
The rear door lock doesn't lock, though it latches fine. I never fixed it since anyone could crawl into the rear end anyhow.

Asking $15,000. If you'd like specific photos let me know. Please don't ask for a video since I don't have a video camera. I'm located in upper east Tennessee near Bristol, and if you're within a few hundred miles I'd consider delivering it to you. If you're interested send me a private message or an email at jrcotner@msn.com.
