1974 Pinz 710m Overland/Camper

Post by jegrgic »

Selling my 1974 Steyr Puch Pinzgauer 710 that I converted to an overland vehicle.

I have owned this truck for ~3 years and its been a fun project for me. Things I have done:
-rebuilt both carbs and sync'd
-installed PinzSSI electric ignition (https://www.pinzssi.com/)
-new drum brakes (all four wheels)
-new air filter
-new spark plugs
-new alternator
-new clutch and ring gear
-new cv joint boots
-new portal hub seals
-valves adjusted with new gaskets
-All fluids changed (oil, portal axles, gear boxes, transmission)

She starts up and runs great. She still has some more work I have yet to get to. This includes starter adjustment, speedo, fuel pump.

As for the camper:
-400w solar panels on roof
-200a lithium ion battery @ 12v. can be converted to 100a at 24v to match pinz battery system
-mppt solar controller and monitor
-Propex heater
-Dometic 2 burner 1 sink hob with 6gallon water jug
-Dometic 50qt cooler
-2in polyiso insulation with sound deadener on floor, walls, and ceiling
-8 dimmable led lights connected to two switches
-4 usb power outlet
-74" width for sleeping (we have queen size fold up bed in there)

Camper is rock solid and will keep warm in the winter. Only issue is in winter, due to small space, some condensation issues when sleeping. Camper built out is all aluminum, so not worried about rust. Roof is triple sealed and slightly sloped and has not leaked since built.

We have lived in this during the winter with no major issues with heat or leaks. Everything locks up! Still some rough edges but it was good enough for us to start enjoying it. We drive this on the highway with no issues.

We also have all the original parts to convert back to the 710m transport.
