Haflinger Pertronix Pre-Orders

Post by ExpeditionImports »

Hi Guys,

Finished the preliminaries with Pertronix and we are looking at a sales price of $104 for a Haflinger kit. The kit is a bit different from the regular kits as this module uses 4 magnets.....but in a different way than normal. (normal mog/pinz ignitors have a single magnet per cylinder that fires the spark.) In this application to get a more stable spark with the 2 cylinders, Pertronix is using 4 magnets, but one magnet switches on, one switches off, per cylinder. It is the best way to achieve an extremely stable spark on a 2 cylinder.

We are looking at shipping in the next 3-4 weeks. I need preliminaries here. Please respond in this thread if you are interested in purchasing a unit and with the type of distributor that you have:

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the delay on this. The delivery to us by Pertronix engineering has had a number of delays, and kept getting put on the back burner by the engineer responsible. I have been gently pushing the effort, but the design time for the older style Haflinger distributor had been the problem. Anyways, I received notification today that they will be shipping the first kits to EI on Wednesday of this week. As soon as I have them in hand, I will post up the technical information and order information on my site, as well as link it up here.

Cheers,

Scott

HAFLINGER PERTRONIX SHIPPING

Post by ExpeditionImports »

Hi Guys,

The Haflinger Pertronix modules are IN STOCK and shipping.

You will notice that 1 kit will work with either style of Haflinger distributor. This kit replaces the stock points plate with the Pertronix plate and ignitor module. Took a little while but these are nice and manufactured in such a way to eliminate having to decide which style of distributor you have.

Please place your order online here:

Cheers,

Scott

Mark,
I was able to install one of the units in our 1964 polycab. Printed instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The truck starts easily, idles smoothly and has nice power. This is a very worthwhile addition.

Take care.
