Updates...
Andre Swanson (fatfabrications) made a nice winch bumper for me this past winter, really happy with it, pics attached. He is making a roof rack now... Thanks Andre!
I switched out the tires and rims, got wider stock-pattern steel rims from ColdWarRemarketing, powdercoated etc, they are great! Put on some Interco TRXUS MT tires on them.
Just changed all the fluids, used Joe Gibbs Hot Rod oil for engine (high zinc for flat tappet air cooled engines), Red Line MT-90 for transmission, and Red Line Heavy Shockproof everywhere else, except hubs which I used a standard 75W90 GL5 gear oil.

Next up, I am going to get the spare gas tank painted, and I need to fix the gas heater... I will have some questions for you all when it comes time for this. Gonna get a stainless exhaust from EI, and from there I am where I want to be!

Hey Kevin,
Thanks for the updated pics
New bumper looks great!
How are you getting the roof rack shipped up?
Also, would you mind posting a shot of your new rims and the size of tires your now running (and your thoughts on them so far)?
Cheers,
Dan

I am probably going to use uship to get the rack sent up ground freight. If anyone wants Andre to make something destined for Ontario we can ship together, it will probably be ready in a couple weeks but I can hold off shipping if need be.

The stock pinz rims are 16X6.5 I think. These rims are 16X8, with the original Pinz center hub mounted on a 16X8 wheel. The inside backspacing/offset is the same as stock, with the extra 1.5" or rim width extending outwards. Powder coated, well made, happy with the results. Probably same price to get after market alloys, but I like the steel rims.
The tires are Interco TRXUS M/T's 285 75R16. Overall widens the wheelbase by 3", and wheel height mounted measures just under 32".

your bumper is pretty popular. I just sold one to a regular customer of mine and may sell a second soon. (berger!??) Much credit is to be given to Tim In AZ. for his initial design as well as Kevin for the details on the winch mount.

Kevin. You need to get a good pic of the approach angle so Vince can be impressed too.
