Refurb 710K

Post by djw »

If anyone is looking, SAV has one of the 710K Austrian SDP factory Rehab/refurbs for sale. From the pics it looks to be in very nice condition.

That Austrian 712 they had a few weeks ago made me wish I could afford to own two Pinz's.

Nice looking truck for sure but I find the old front seats hilarious in a referb'd truck
Now I see why Paul wanted to upgrade to the newer style!

That's the way they come straight from the military. No Billy-Bob "upgrades" yet, sort of a blank canvas :) Personally I don't find them uncomfortable or out of place (though I must admit the Ralph Naders would squeal), but each to his own. There's even someone making custom seat covers for std Pinz seats.

I'd be interested in custom covers for the stock seats; what's the info?

I found it in the old technical section, but seatcovers.net has the Pinz in their database and will make them to order. They are not cheap and they are a little fiddly but they work and are well made. I wish I had the scratch for sheep skins :)

I just would have thought that a factory referb would upgrade the seats to the Steyr Puch new version seat bottoms

I think the seat bottoms in the thread SAV made locally, could be wrong, just a guess. They don't look like 716/8 seats either.

However, every Austrian SDP factory rehab/refurb I have seen (admittedly only a half dozen or so) has the same seats as the 710K on SAV's site.
