Here's the outfit that owned it: http://www.texaspinzgauer.com

I don't know if they did the custom work though they seem to be claiming they do.

I've had two cup holders in this exact location for years - it works well -except - it blocks the the labels for the high/low gear shifter and the tranny shift pattern - which isn't a big issue for me but is when I let someone else drive the truck.

I also have a GPS mounted on top of the wiper motor bracket - which also works well -except- you need to be really careful that the cord for the GPS doesn't get tangled up in the wiper motor drive - I destroyed both the GPS cable and a wiper motor gear that way... I've often considered making a cover for the wiper drivetrain live I seen on some of the later pinzgauers.
Any pics of your cup holder and the cover you mentioned??
Thx

Gads, I forgot how excited newbies get when they find something of anicent history for the first time.
All they did was add a 4" spacer at the waistline, rollbar would fold with the spacer on a rollover
.
The Trojan Horse... the 1st Pinz used to covertly carry troops into battle .

I suspect that those guys in San Antonio, Texas Pinzgauer did build those trucks up. They have (or did have) a fairly big clientele of folks with ranches in South Texas where a Pinzgauer makes perfect sense for hunting applications. That windshield modification is designed so that hunters don't have to actually hunch down to see traffic lights at intersections if they're too close.

I guess I'm not tall enough to have needed that!
