WTT: '75 Unimog 404.0 DOKA for a clean 712M

Post by NM_Mogman »

I am looking for a nice (not a project) 712M. What I have:

1975 Mercedes UNIMOG 404.0 DOKA (Double Cab) For Sale, or trade for 6x6 Pinz

This is an ex-Belgian Air Force Fire Truck. Has the dry chemical frame, but nothing else from that configuration. As a 404.0 it has Power Steering, Air-over Hydraulic Power Brakes, larger M130 Engine with High Compression Head, Air Trailer/Towing Brake System, and On-board Air. The DOKA, or double cab, seats up to six people and has storage under the rear bench. There is a cab heater, which works REALLY well (especially for the driver!). Various extra parts, to include an axle shaft, old seat frames, original headliner (warped, but can use to make replacements), etc...

UPGRADES:
- Petronix Electronic Ignition
-Suspension converted to Air Bags with individual switches for maximum control Offroad (can easily convert back to stock Coils which are included)
- Rancho 9000 Adjustable Shocks
- GMC van front seats (power driver seat)
- Sony Rear Camera
- 6" Video Screen in place of mirror
- 24v to 12v power converter
- Right front Axle Seal

Man I wish I had a 712M. I have a 710M. I've been looking for a Doka for awhile.

I have already had a 710M&K ;-) I think the only other I would consider (besides 6x6 Volvo) would be a Hafi....I have always loved them, since I first saw one. 8)
