I live in Las Vegas. I want to buy a Pinz 710 in good mechanical condition. $$$$ depend on vehicle type (k or m) and how much has been done to it in upgrades, if any. I'd like to keep the budget under $20,000. Closer to Vegas is better than further away.
Please message me or reply if you have a 710 that runs well that you want to sell.

Re: Wanted To Buy 712 or Volvo 304
I am assuming you have done your homework on the differences between the Pinz and Volvo trucks and know how hard parts are to source for the latter.
Scott at EI does not have any listed on his site in San Fran but has resources to find them. I suggest you contact him first.
Also in case you were unaware, Swiss Army Vehicals has a buy and sell section on their site.

My Dad used to say, don't presume or assume anything. I hadnt done my homework and you may have saved me from huge error.
I'm begging to rethink the whole process: I may buy a 710 instead of a 712. Not to start a huge discussion on the relative merits between the two, but my best guess is that a 712 is better off road than the 710 and the 710 is better on the highway. Am I correct?

Re: Wanted To Buy in Las Vegas 710
Personally having owned both, the 710 is faster on the freeway but the 712 is more stable both on the freeway and on the dirt. Moth are relitivly slow compared to a modern vehicle.
In the 710 I would drive 60 to 66 and the 712 55 to 60 mph
For NV weather I would go with a M but a K would prevent more sand from entering your cab.
710's are more redily available, have less parts (less maintance)
for 20K you sould be able to find a good accesorized 710M or more of a stock 712M of 710K. Finding a 712K will cost you double (if you can find one.
a 712 ambulance is also something you should be able to find for 20 or 25k also. Though Abulances are top heavy and if you plan to do more extream wheeling I would not advise.

Thanks for the analysis. Makes sense that the 712 is more stable, more maintenance and slower. I prospect and more of the driving is highway, so 10 mph makes a difference. Interesting thought regarding NV weather: I wii keep that in mind (or else run a generator and put in a big bad a.c. unit).

My 710m is available. For $20k, I can build you a custom bumper, removable hard top and sides, or throw in a matching trailer. Maybe even 2 of the three.
