a few of us went out even though there was a strong forecast for rain. We did not run into much rain but there was a good bit of wind.

Thanks for posting. It's nice to see an active Pinzgauer group getting out together often.

we get out at least once a month. So far this year we have had three overnight trips and three day trips. One of the day trips was to show an interested individual what the pinz can do as he was looking into the purchase of a pinz.

Man I wish I lived closer... would love to get out on the trail with you. I'm slowly building a cadre of enthusiasts and owners here in the PNW and trying to see if I can't get enough together to start doing some regular runs.

as with most photos of rocks/boulders they always looks small in photos. In this case the formation is quite large. There are four major formations in the area. What I found most impressive is that the rock buggies have not been using this area as a play ground. Everyone for the most part stays on the designated trails, which is extremely rare.
Still don't know why the name Chimney Rock, Looks more like a gorilla to me.
