Hey. Sounds like fun if I can get my daughter to let my son-in-law come with me. Is anybody invited?

I plan on going. As far as I can tell I have the only pinz in about a 200 mile radius and would love to meet others who understand.

Scottie, I live in Wilmington Illinois, I'll be down on Wednesday. I flat tow my 712M.
John, I still have the "field fabricated" shower tent poles. See if you can find your "spud gun".

Spud gun loaded up.
I'm off to the treffen tomorrow. There will be a couple of us there by
Tuesday night. We will be camping at the Flats instead of the cave -
but we may wind up there. To get to the Flats - on 1639 take a left
just past mile marker 3 on to Sand Lick Road - go until you get to the
first creek (crick) crossing we will (should) be on the left. You can
get trailers and campers/RVs to this site - only the last mile or so
is dirt road.
Here is what I got when I put the grid coordinates into Google Maps
(n37 46 w83 43.3)
http://www.google.com/maps?q=Slade,+KY, ... iwloc=addr
I'll see some of you there.

Hey you guys, sure sounds like fun. I wish it were a shorter commute from Wisconsin....
Speaking of Spud Guns, I've got a friend, a blacksmith, who made a spud gun from steel. It burns oxy/accetaline (sp?) for fuel. I've witnessed it blow through both windows of a Volvo (accidentally), just about blow a hole through said Volvo's door (intentionally), and heave a spud over 3/10 of a mile! And that was with a "tame charge".
Somehow, ya just can't beat blowing things up. :)
Have a fun weekend.

Oxy/Acetylene WILL DESTROY a PVC spud gun, it's shooter and anyone else with the lack of better judgement to be in the near vicinity. I know someone who tried this - tore up his face, arm and torso. I'm partial to propane or mapp gass - cheaper and cleaner than hair spray.
That bit of warning aside - the spud gun helps keep the kids entertained.
I have some flour experiments I am looking foreward to testing this week :D

I like to use paintballs in dixie cups in my spud gun. Still an old timer and use hair spray thou. You can really paint up the desert with a cup of paintballs.
