Hump and Bump in NV

Post by mjnims »

Had some fun with a couple other pinz owners at an offroad event put on by the Vegas Valley 4 Wheelers. Their webmaster is a mog owner and I know that at least one other member of this board has been to the event in the past. I put up some videos of our fun on youtube. Here are the links

The pinzies did very well considering this is not their favorite terrain. Still lots of fun and a great event. We were welcomed not as outsiders but as fellow offroad enthusiast, what a change when hanging out around mainstream jeep guys.
Thanks to VV4W's

Mike, your bumper scrapping rock is worse sounding than fingernails on a chaulkboard. Looks like a great time though. Not sure I'd want to subject my 710 to that however. I loose enough paint on the bumpers just from bump gates. Cool videos even if my wife calls them Pinz Porn.

That's nice driving Mike, slow and steady, good wheel placement etc.

The Pinzgauer is a capable machine, you just have to put your faith in the machine to get you through.

.... however, if I was going to do a lot of that sort of stuff, and like Eric suggested, I think I'd be fitting Power Steering rather than the PAS system you are running now!

(PAS = People Assisted Steering....refer Video where blokes are pushing the wheels around)

I would love to have power steering but have not found a good option yet. I know that Peter went through a lot to get his but the cost seems to be a bit high. If there is a unit available at a reasonable rate I would certainly be interested.

Agreed Peter. I have found the Pinz will do what ever you are willing to try. I am looking forward to next year when I take my 710 up there.
