Cascade Trail

Post by totaljoint »

Went for a drive Friday on some logging roads off Hwy 2 in the Washington Cascades. Usually the gate is locked on weekends, but was left open for an active logging operation during the week. No shortage of wildlife (Bears, deer, coyote.. not loggers). There is at least one very big black bear up here! Of course no more animals once the camera finally got out of the bag, but I did get these:

Hidden lake, great place for swimming.

There is always a Pinzgauer at the end of a rainbow!

Great pics!! Are you allowed to camp in this area? Would mind a trip up that way.

Camping- well there are lots of places around here to do that. This particular area is posted no trespassing, no vehicles, active logging, foot traffic only, etc... I figure I'll get more questions about the Pinz than yelling at me to get out. On this day, I did get the finger from a logging truck not expecting me on the road. Oh, well.
