UK 2011 Pinz Meeting

Post by HOOPS PINZ »

Just to let you know we are arranging the second UK Pinzgauer meeting. The first one which we held last year in the Peaks went down very well, so this years venue is

SALISBURY PLAIN The Big One SALISBURY PLAIN

Date is 19th 20Th 21st of August Its the weekend before the bank holiday.

Please let me or Nigel know if you are coming, open to all ages so families are welcome. Some brought there caravans last year.

At last years event it was nice to look at other peoples Pinzs and see what mods their owners had carried out on them. It gave me some good ideas for mine.

PINZGAUER and HAFLINGER UK MEETING UPDATE

I have arranged a campsite which is 4x4 Military vehicle friendly right on Salisbury Plain area. Cost is only £15 a night for a average size tent

I have to pay a deposit of £5 per vehicle so if you pm me I will send you my address so you can send me your deposit.

Arrive Friday night or Sat morning

I will be organising lanes to drive for the 2 days. For those of you who have not been to the Plain before the MOD normally shut it down for Military units in August so we will have lots of lanes to drive. Bring the family and Stonehenge is near by which we can also drive past.

If you look on TD Pinzgauer website you can see one of the Pinzgauer weekends that I organised this Easter for a few of us just click on Salisbury plain

I should be able to make this. Newly acquired Pinz from Paul in Lancashire and massive thanks to Nigel who helped out with several issues on Saturday with the purchase.

Are all the mirrors rubbish? :)

What do people do about radios for these excursions? PMR? CB? Mobile? Not bother?
