Pretty reasonable. Guess I need to start saving for spring.

Are they welded on the Pinz or are you just reusing the same mounting screws?

they mount to the same rivet nuts with 6mm flange bolts(8mm head) The backs are countersunk to allow the flat bar to lay flush with the side rails.

Very nice. Can you use a hi-lift jack with slider adapter to lift the Pinz? I'm assuming with the weight distributed across the rail, the riv nuts will hold??

it has for me but I use a block under the body as well. the Az. boys cut a hole in the side rail and slip in another piece of flat stock and sandwich the sheet metal between them, better distributes lifting stresses.

I've got one of those. That's why I was asking. How long of a block are you using?

Hot dam - that is one nice looking tank guard, even without the powder coating!

I'm still buried here in WV working on that documentary film. I don't know where you are but if you still want to pick up those K radio parts let me know. They are outside where you can just drive by and pick them up.

Re: West coast fab tour 2014

Here’s the latest update on fab-tour 2014. We’ve run into a snag.
The sheet metal shop that was going to host me has fallen through. I now need use of an 8’ sheet metal break capable of bending 16ga cold rolled sheet to complete 2 extended range fuel cells and 2 removable hard tops for 710m’s. I was intending on purchasing the sheet metal from the host shop but can pick up my own materials if working out of a private shop.
If needed, I can pay for the sheet metal to be bent up by a commercial shop but without supervising the operation, I can’t guaranty the finish and I miss out on much needed profit.

Anyone out there who can help me out with the situation would be greatly appreciated and will also have earned some fabrication time in exchange.
If the shop location is close to friends or a camp ground, I can travel back and forth. If not, I am capable of staying on location if permitted.

Our current location is Cathedral City, and my customers are in LA. and inland Empire.

Thanks for all the help and support

I've only got a poor 30" combo brake, shear, and roll but if it will work you can use it; it may not shear 16 ga, though...
