Front Locker Not Working

Post by SDPintheLBC »

Well, I'm pretty disappointed, but not surprised. My front locker is not-op.

There is no feeling to the handle at all. No detent, no nothing. All the linkage is attached and appears to be working correctly.

I jacked the front up and used my hand to push actuator in while spinning the wheel. When I do that, I can feel/hear, what feels like the tips of gear teeth skipping. That's the best way I can describe it. Hopefully, this isn't catastrophic. :(

Any of the experts have an idea?

Thanks,
Mark

Now would be a good time to bring it out for service. I would have to look at it to determine the malfunction. I do have some front diff parts if needed.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'll call you next week.

Thanks,
