I bent something.....

Post by SDPintheLBC »

I'm pretty sure I bent my upper spring perch. I'm about an inch lower on the drivers side after rolling the Haf back and forth empty. The upper spring perch looks slightly bent, but doesn't seem to be enough to cause and inch difference. :?

Had fun in the desert, but didn't notice it until I pulled it out of the trailer and drove it down the street. I'm thinking I might have tied it down too tight with my new tie-downs. Is that possible?

Anyway, I'm going to order a new upper spring perch from SAV. Are there any other parts I should replace when doing this?

Thanks,
Mark

Are you sure you haven't just broken one of the "cast, cross member carriers" ... they do break from time to time and that inturn can "skue" the alignment of the cross member itself!

The cross member is what I thought was bent. But I looked at it and checked it against the other one and it looks ok to me. The only thing I can see is that the upper spring perch is tilted a little.
