Halflinger combat/conflict/peacekeeping history?

Post by OhioPinz »

Where any Haflingers ever used in a combat/conflict/peacekeeping situation?

The Australian forces used them in Viet Nam. There are a few photos out there.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jim,

I was looking for photos of AU Army Hafs in Vietnam but never found any... do you have a link or could you send me pictures via email?

Constantin,

I recently stumbled on a site that had nearly forty images of Australian Military Haflingers. Three of the photos are Black and white images. If I can locate the actual site, I will be happy to pass on that information. In the mean time, I will send the three vintage images your direction with the remainder to follow shorlty.

Take care.

Constantin,
My apologies for getting your hopes up. I am switching form one computer to another and the overlap of Haflinger sites have left my head spinning. The photos are from YOUR site. Oops! I obviously did not pick up on the detail that the B&W photos were actually taken in Australia and not Viet Nam. I admit I was nagged over the fact that the soldiers all seemed to be weaponless.
Take care.
