718 Restoration Spinoff

Post by Profpinz »

As I'm converting my 718M to a K configuration I've been CAD drawing many of the components either to check assembly or for laser cutting and folding purposes.
I always intended, that at the same time as rebuilding the real thing to develop a complete, accurate CAD model of the 718 using this data, and over the last few weeks I've begun assembling the bits and pieces I've drawn to date....so I thought you might like to see the progress
The diff casing as is a bit of an experiment, as it still needs a LOT of work, but eventually I'II have a virtual 718 as well as a real one. :D :D

Curious as to what software you're using. Can you output .STP, or .IGS?

I'm using Ironcad (similar in many ways to Solidworks)
Yes, it can output Step and Iges files.
