It's been a while since I posted on GG, and have gotten confirmation on the total number of Pinzes with the 2.5TDI and LHD made in the UK ... a total of 7 718's , 4 / 718M and 3 / 718K. Besides my 718K, the 4 718M's are also in the US ( bought by USMC, disposition unknown) , the other 2 718K's are in Europe.
So, anyone dreaming of a UK made LHD 716 with a 2.5TDI, dream on.
I still can't get a total number of TDI Pinzes made, but I suspect the number to be around 800ish. Pinzes made in the UK were originally a continuation of the P93 with the 2.4TD.

In Graz were completly 5215 TD Pinzgauer build. Of these 5215 TD Pinzgauer are only 211 civilian Pinzgauer.

Thanks for that. I knew the Austrian total was under 6000 units and would say to people that there were less than 7000 totals TDs made ( which is true  ) but now can say less than 6500. which gives a little cushion if any "covert" Pinzes pop up. :D

And to put that in perspective to 710 / 712's for TD wanters.... the total production of 716 /718s made is roughly 1/3 of the total numbers of 710/712s..... And people wonder why TD's are so expensive, especially LHDs.

And if someone could figure out to convert a RHD to LHD economically ( without doing a hack job  ) the RHD prices would jump

So...conclusion, there has never been a 716k LHD that left the factory with a 2.5 5cyl TDI engine 8)

That was from a ATL employee, from the '90s to the end. From a chart of ATL's annual production, 6 of the 7 LHD's can be accounted for to countries that only use LHD, the 7th was to a typically RHD country. It has been years since I've looked at the chart, but remember looking for trucks over years that would have gone to a primarily LHD country and nothing stood out .
Take any info as a grain of salt if you like, some of the info is a little hard for me to believe, but still plausible.

Again, consider this from a production line standpoint, not any possible re-powered.
