718MW update! Soft top question.

So it's been a hectic couple months. Took my pinz to a mechanic and ended up doing a tear down of the engine. It appears no maintenance was done for the last decade or more.
Sgb all terrain in the UK is a fantastic resource for information and parts for the diesel pinzgauers.
Mine is still in the shop, getting a head gasket, upgraded Turbo, new fuel pump, injectors, oil cooler, aluminum Radiator with oil cooler, water pump, timing belt, hoses, belts etc....
So while that's being done, I did have a question. The roof of my cab had the round hatch, and has since been covered and bolted. Then an air conditioner was cut into the roof. So long story short, I need a new roof for the cab. My question is how the soft top attaches to the cab, and if it would be an option to remove the roof and just have a soft top. Thanks for the info!
