Very cool!
I like the dog house design and the vacuum formed door panels!

Boy Ed, I'm glad to hear that, I got a couple of things that I need done and will be of no problem for you.

Shawn,
The detailer was suppose to do it a week and half ago... but wasn't drunk enough at the time.
First, a reminder of before

The green is actually darker in person.
And it seems the brush guard and the bumpers come off as a unit...bummer

Was that 1st shot of truck all oxidation? That is wild!
Now it's looks + it's mileage = brand new!

The first pic was 2 days after it got to me. I'm assuming most of the previous 10 years it was in a back field in Sealy
When I first saw pics of it, I had assumed the truck was re-sprayed NATO Green and not the original as the interior. When I swapped the right tire for the spare, the body behind the tire was this color.... it makes you think about putting a coat of wax on your old MVs.
My next MV meet is in 2 weeks, they're going to think I found another new Pinz. :D If I didn't know, I'd think it was
BUT, I could play that game with my Supacats and drive them on alternating days ... but tell everyone it was the same one :P

Was it parked in a flour mill before being sent for detailing? :D

As a side comment, this truck deserves a jerrican in better condition...

These are exactly the sort of pictures I should NOT see as the idea is making its way to my mind that the only thing that my truck needs (apart from a diesel powerplant...) is an extra pair of wheels... Great truck, congrats again on your acquisition!!!

Thank you Jan
Yeah, the gerry can needs to go, but in my defense, it was the only empty can at my house when I wanted to try one in the holder to see how it fit. The truck also has the typical 716/18 and G wagon lower gerry can holder that is empty also. I have a few new cans at my shop and need to take they home instead of tripping over them.

This truck also had a sister almost half a world away and had the same faded paint. Other than a couple features only obvious to some one versed in TD Pinz  , you couldn't tell them apart  ... it has been said that only a mother can tell her children apart, and I've been call one many a time

An update
This was a little over a month ago, but finally found a pic of GG in the Torrance Armed Forces Parade.

And a week before the parade, GG was caught trying to run off with a popgun it found at a Militaria show

There is no weight in the the truck, it always has it's nose in the air. :P

I just found the manual for your one with all the error codes and stuff.

Yeah I know I'm slow it was buried under a ton of other junk, you still need a copy?

Hey Mike
I sent you an email. The cover page you sent me is different than the one I have and it may be the manual I am missing. I have the sections for the TDI 2.5 Euro Variant, but doesn't contain the rest of the 716/18 information.

I just saw this video walk around of GG at the British car show last June at the Automotive Driving Museum in El Segundo.
I though some may find it interesting.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rFhcMYZjMc

Also as an update to UK manufactured soft skin Pinzgauers. There were a total of 1029 to 1032 (depending who you listen to :) ) and 181 armored Vectors. And the number of LHD ones made, may be as low as 5  .
