Speedometer special tool

Post by blackstack »

If you are opening up your speedometer to do a repair..taking off the bezel is a pain. A knife, small screwdricer or sidecutters don't do a neat job.

My suggestion: get one of those paint can opening tools and grind the "blade" part of the hook until it is narrow enough to fit between the bezel and the body of the speedo. Just keep moving around the circumference prying the bezel out. really works sweet!

I hope I explained that clearly!!

The problems arise when you try to get the bezels back on again!

i used the rounded back of the "hook" part to press and smooth the bezel and it looks good and is tight
