What is this part of heat exchanger for?

I can't figure out from drawing what this is extra outlet is for?

Yes it is though I've not seen a heat exchanger with that port operational. My pre-heaters connect to the heater valve (item #61).

There's a grill on the wall above the access port in the rear floor on a K. Is it possible this is a variant for that truck?

That grill is for the BN4 gas fired heater that is behind the driver's seat on a K
