Nothing here
I did an online scan and it came up clear (not a 100% guarantee) but I would check your computer asap

I'm getting a similar type of thing, but my anti virus hasn't found anything.

I'm on a Mac. If you see anything weird in here: chrome://plugins/ disable it. You can't delete these in Chrome without removing and re-installing

Hmmm... I would review any new extensions on your browser(s) and delete them.

Google "Updaterlp mac pop up"....
While I do not trust this site (I have no history with it or the software they recommend) they seem to describe what you are documenting. Use their software at your own risk.

The SoftwareUpdaterlp.com pop-up ads are caused by an ad-supported extension for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome, which is distributed through various monetization platforms during installation. This malicious browser extensions is typically added when you install another free software (video recording, download-managers or PDF creators) that had bundled into their installation this adware program.
When this malicious extension is installed, when you will browse the Internet, an ad from SoftwareUpdaterlp.com will randomly pop-up. SoftwareUpdaterlp.com will display a pop-up box stating that you need to updated or install a piece of software (eg: Java, Flash Player, Web browser). If you click on the “Download”, “Run Update” or “Click to install now” button, instead of installing an update, you’ll agree to download an adware or a malicious programs onto your computer.
The SoftwareUpdaterlp.com link may install on your computer potentially unwanted programs like: toolbars (Sweet-Page Toolbar, Delta Toolbar, Trovi Search), adware (WebCake, EnhanceTronic, CouponBuddy) or other forms of malware.
