I was just curious if anyone here went to it. I was able to make it over to the gold show (my first one) at South Point last weekend while the biggest film/video convention on earth was going on which I usually attend each year at that same time. I had a lot of fun, and a good education with the seminars and dealer discussions.
I can see how it could be (almost) as wallet-draining as weird 4x4's are. The $3200 Minelab SDC-2300 detector was one of the coolest things I've seen in a while! I own a mid-level Garret but it's a toy compared to that stuff. I got an education on using the Thompson dry-washer too.
I need a real paying job.
