I was never able to find anyone with experience beyond some Porsche mechanics for the engine/carbs.

yup, classic Porsche mechanics in Fairfax can handle the engine work. Very pricey =(

There has to be 4x4 shops on the western edge of town that would take work on, but again, pricey. What do you need done?
