1990 Puch 230 GE facelift...

Post by muttandjeeps »

Took a good bit of work (fun), but here it is.......at the behest of my son to not do it in tan, green or khaki, gray it is.
Started with a nice truck from EI, so really not any body work to speak of, just a bunch of sanding, prepping, taping and spraying.

Did you use a spray gun? HVLP?

I had very good results with painting my pinz top with Krylon's Fusion spray paint in black - but your might look great with a slightly darker gray color for the top.

apologies for the blunt question, but what is the purpose of the UK plate on the front ?
Cheers

Thanks Paul.

Haf-e, I used Rustoleum Massey Ferguson Gray spray cans, went slow, it came out pretty good...I was thinking about the top also, but I liked the contrast of the green and gray.

Hotzenplotz, Not blunt at all, it's out of place. The UK plate came with a TGB 1111 I imported in 2011, just like the way it looks, especially with the gray.

I thought there was a subtle sarcasm in the plate. I remember reading newspaper articles in the late nineties, when the MOD decided to purchase G-Wagons rather than LandRovers, and the boulevard press went furious , .. " Krautwagen "....
