Met up with Jim and Chris for a burger and beer. It was a great chance to see some of the work they've both done on their rigs.
Good time and good food.

Great seeing Jim's legendary 712W in person!
BTW - I drove my pinz down "topless" with only the windshield sticking up - quite the ride on I-5 in traffic... glad it didn't rain...

Re: Pinzys for lunch...
It was great meeting both of you in person (and "in Pinz"!). Thanks for lunch, and taking time out from you schedules to match up with my trip up to the Seattle area. A 3,000 miles round trip, with nothing more than topping off engine oil occasionally. The worst part was hours yesterday in 109 degree heat in the central valley. The Pinz did much better than we did! It just purred along at 63 mph hour after hour after hour... I think it likes the heat. The tires didn't, however - at that air temp I got overtemp warnings on 4 of the 6 tires, despite having 75psi in them! Nothing else to do but keep on going until reaching cooler temps at the top of the Grapevine.
Haf-e has done some great work on his disk brake conversion, it drives (and stops) very nicely.
