The only “wise” EV conversion should use independent electric motors at each portal hub. Thus eliminating the weight/ drag of the Driveline components.

Its the driveline that makes the pinzgauer different from all the rest....without that its no use to convert a pinzgauer, its beter to build a whole new car from the grond up :roll:

Agreed.

That'll be the only time when I'm ready to buy a high mobility electric vehicle -- when it has independent powerplants for each wheel. That gives you the ultimate in traction control and torque direction while maintaining directional control.

It seems fun and all making an EV version of a Pinz, but to me, that'd rob some of its soul.
