Is it just me or dose 5000.00 sound really cheap for this truck? Now if I only had a place to park it…..

Looks bogus, probably a Nigerian scam. See this discussion:

Hey Mike, Linda's neice and her husband are calling home (Jerseyville) to see who has the Man truck. Maybe they can drive it here for you .

If I remember correctly a fellow from Illinois, (Jerseyville) had a Mog on Ebay for 19.5 K about 6 months ago. 1980's with a bucket and a backhoe. I saw it about 20 min after the post emailed them no reply. The next day it was removed. Jerseyville is about 125 miles from me.
Looks like a scam to me,

this is interesting.

does anyone know what this guy is doing? i'm not interested in the truck but i greatly value knowing the pattern of scams and the nature of scammers. what's he trying to get out of it?

The thread on steelsoldiers covers a couple of ways that scams involving large ticket items work. I don't know if the guy pulled this because of a incorrect listing price or just got caught in a scam. Having watched several of the Man trucks come and go for sale there is no way the price was close to being correct. His lack of response could simply be that he was slammed with request for information on the vehicle by people who thought they could actually buy one of these for 5K.

The real owner had posted that a couple days ago. The buy out was 19k he had a link to his website and also a contact number. If I can dig up the real ebay listing for it I will post it back here.
