OK, does anyone remember Soupy Sales or Pinkie Lee, these are from the days of live TV and from EAST of the Mississippi so I don't expect any yesses. They were kids shows when there were only three channels.
...and yes, very much in black and white. Back when phones still rang.

soupy sales was my favorite tv show from my day 1, on the black&white box that i used to watch by pressing my nose against its glass (i guess nobody knew that was a bad thing to do, back then). the show was born in the same town i was, 1 year earlier. pookie...

Sky King on Saturday morning. I have always wanted an airplane since those days.

Let us not forget the Adventures of Flash Gordon, Bozo the Clown, Captain Kangaroo, Heckle and Jeckle, the Little Rascals, The Cisco Kid, Maverick, Bonanza(B&W), Wanted Dead or Alive. I still love black and white stuff. I still have an imagination that I credit to all of this old stuff.

And for the politically incorrect, how about the old Tarzan Movies and Jungle Jim??? I always wanted to grow up and be a great white hunter and adventurer like Johnny Wisemueller. Maybe that's where the lust for the Pinz comes from and all the trails yet undiscovered??

Remember Ma and Pa Kettle and their zany adventures?? I loved the indian raids and their bizzare trips outside the holler.

PS. As a kid, I was on the Soupy Sales show. The highlight of my pre-pubescent childhood!!!

We used to get most of those US shows back then!

I also loved the old War Series, like 12 O'Clock High, The Rat Patrol and Combat.

....but for real Comedy, you couldn't beat the British Classics.

Maddogg I thinkz you had a b&W TV as a kid ( our family did), Bonanza was in color (I know because I still watch their reruns ) , and Perry Mason was in B & W except for the last episode...the reruns look and sound so much better with HDTV and 5.1 surround sound.

Nobody's brought up Mighty Mouse or The Herculoids yet. I was quite addicted to HR PufNStuf, Lidsville too. And what was that show wih the guys in dog suits driving funky race cars? Ahhh Saturday mornings ain't what they used to be.
