PINZ CLINIC
Dave,
Seriously considering tinted glass, what is the last day to order before clinic?
Cheers,
Morris

I keep an inventory of glass for the Pinzes and SBUs, so if you decide you want a windshield or a door set, it won't be a problem. I would appreciate a little notice so I can set some time aside for you.
For those unfamiliar with these gatherings, though I'm happy to sell glass, the intent is for owners and wantabies to meet and learn a little more about their truck and see what others have done to theirs.

PINZ CLINIC
Dave,
Please refresh me on the cost of the glass for my 710M.
I would like to get the max tint, allowed by law, for the main windscreen and the left and right door glass.
I am thinking of keeping the old glass for an emergency spare. Is this possible, Keeping in mind, of course, how I have heard that you remove the glass?
Cheers,
Morris

Hi Morris
The tinted windshield is $140, and the M front front door tinted set is $226.
Does anyone have any topics they want covered, or are you coming to see my warm cheery personality?..... if so, you obviously don't know me
Please give Jim a subject to cover... you'll be doing us all a favor if we can keep him away from the BBQ this year
Cheers

PINZ CLINIC
OK...
I would like to get some info on checking the carb float level. I got the tool from SAV but would like to see it work. Last clinic I learned about balancing the carbs. Very valuable info.
Cheers,
Morris

Here's the subjects so far, Brake adjustment and bleeding, carb float level check and sync carbs, Electrical diagnostic tips, Back-up light switch installation(bring your switch Glenn), General maintanance, and Fuel injection.
If there is anything else, just ask
Bring a container for waste fluid if you plan on doing a flush
If you have any parts for sale or trade bring them
I have some Light bars for sale(5 of them) if anyone is interested, I can bring them along.

Picked up my Pinz today
Hello all,
The Calico gathering encouraged me to retrieve my Pinz from Stefan; it's in good shape and running well aside from needing a new set of batteries.
I probably won't make it up this weekend; stuff to move to the storage facility. But at least I'm mobile again!
BTW, I towed the Pinz with the Rover (D2) and it did fine; I should have put on the reverse tow balll (with the ball on the top, raised about 4") so the braking would have been a bit less nerve-wracking but it did fine. I'm going to try to drive it around for the next couple of weeks, it always seems to run better when it's driven regularly.

Dave, Jim and anyone else who contributed:
Thanks for a fun day, I got to see some Pinzies and Mogs I haven't seen before as well as fix a couple of electrical gremlins I haven't been able to chase down. Thanks for the lessons Jim and the hospitatlity Dave!
I need new seats! That's a long drive on those military seats! Hopefully my back and backside will recover by this coming weekend.

Well, we fixed a few electrical problems and had some fun, seems my truck got jealous, as the pressure plate fingers gave up the ghost and decided to break just before the freeway on ramp. Fortunately I was able to drive it home
It reminded me of all those old crashbox(non syncro) trannies I used to build and test drive in the "old days"

Thanks Dave, Jim, and all for a great gathering!
My girlfriend and I were impressed with the display of vehicles and the pervasive friendliness of all present. We look forward to doing one of the Big Bear trail tours this year with some friends and family, and perhaps we'll even get a chance to take our Haflinger out to Holcomb Valley after the snow melts. I really liked the U1300 Mog/Camper--that would be great for one of my Northern California adventures. Does anybody have one that is legally registered in California and that they want to sell cheap??
