Got a new toy!!!

Post by pinzwheeling »

I never posted that I sold my beloved 710 when I started my new business, (I was too upset and ashamed!) but it was the first car we sold and I was just happy to sell something!

Depression set in about 10 minutes later! I sold the 710 knowing that I was going to be replacing it with a 712 eventually. Well, the time has come. I now have a 712M that is unbelievable. It literally looks like it just rolled off the factory floor. No scratches, fading, tiny little ding on the left front corner, and a like new top.

This is the 712M that was being advertised a few months ago by the BMW dealership on ebay. Guess what, they weren't exagerating the condition. It needs a couple of things to be perfect; the rear lockers don't, and the tranny plate isn't lined up where it should be, but other than that it seems perfect.

Here's the funny part, they guy who I bought it from had very little information on what he had. When I took it for a test drive with him, I almost choked when he asked what the weird colored levers in the middle were for. Nice guy, buy noone at the BMW dealership told him squat about the truck, and I guess he really never drove it. In contrast, I've already driven it about 250 miles in 2 days by commuting to work in it and just driving it around everywhere.

Here's a couple of pics, but it won't look like this for long. I'm going to ruin the pristine OD green with my yellow and blue Chargers motiff again. Sorry purists, but it has to be done.

See you all at MOGFEST!
