It will only be black when you wash it
Dirt loves to stick to black paint, it will always have that fresh off the trail look

Your obviously going to be driving around after sun set. I would not like to be in such a sweat box painted black on a sunny day.

black pinz

Post by krick3tt »

I had a Mog that was camo, in the desert it was very hot. Had it blasted and painted sand colour, really made a difference in the temp inside. Now my pinz is olive green and it is very hot in the desert at 113 deg F, can't imagine a black one.
Putting my arm on the door sill at desert temps nearly sears the flesh off.
Now that I am in the great northwest, the green seems to fit better.
I was thinking of doing the underside black, it will make the pinz 'look' taller.

The black would be very slimming...

You could easily get away with asking..."Do these tires make my Pinz look fat"

Think of having it sprayed with a bedliner. When you settle on a color they can mix it and spray. You will never have to paint again. I did mine and it looks great. I did the inside and out.

Black looks cool but I couldn't stand the heat. Painted mine tan with white top within 2 months of getting it. Couldn't even touch the inside ceiling, now it's not even warm. Black was my choice below the rub bar though.

Haflinger Technik have ex-rescue gloss black trucks for sale (or did, they may be sold)

If you are just brushing on paint it did occur to me the other day that changing the colour would not take too long.... experiment!

I think stealth black would look great- keep it flat black, not gloss. 45 degrees for the high today- hmmm, maybe the added solar heat would be a good thing!
