HAVE YOU HAD PROBLEMS WITH COLD WAR REMARKETING???

Post by Thomas-E »

Have never bought anything from him, too many questions/complaints on this forum and prices seem on the high side.

I bought my 712M from Scott and have been happy working with him, I did have a little issue in the past but at that time I was talking with another person not Scott.

Scott has what I feel are fair prices and quick service (not to mention helpful advice) and he has made a serious effort to help develop some new items for us. Nice winch bumper, cool steps, worked to get shocks stocked, wheels and lots of other items. 8)

Just got an email from Patrick and a phone # to reach him and he answered - said he would make it right and get me my parts or a refund - said he had computer crash hard drive problems that screwed his emails and phone messages and was trying to get info retrieved and would have all the info for my order in a couple of days!

I will post what happens and when.

Looks like things might change - two months?????????

Got an email from Patrick saying he had a bunch of problems (AS IF I THOUGHT HE WOULD HAVE A NEW LINE) and cant muster the integrity to fill my order so he is going to refund my money after holding on to it for 2 months!!!

Dam how can a person like that stay in business???????

PS: Checked with my credit card company and no refund has been issued so I am going to fill out the form I got in the mail today to backcharge CWR!

Never had any problems with Rob. Even visited his shop when I was in Denver. Seemed to be a friendly guy. Hard to be everything when you are a one man shop.

I MISS MARK THE POLL should have been HAD problems
patrick is a cvery nice guy and has been very helpful when i hve visited but does not answer phone or return calls. i orderd door lock set and never got it months if not a year later when in denver i used that $$$$ to get somthing else. as i recall he was not that way when i first started dealing with him ? 3 years ago. think this started after his dad passed away. unless i can go to his shop i do not try to get parts from him, i do not mail order from him, shame as he is a wealth of knowledge and has alot of parts.

ka, it's been probably about 2 years ago. But, in truth I don't think that's the whole problem. I have the suspicion there is more to it, but I wouldn't be able to tell you what or why.

I'd try to cut a deal with him to swap the 17" rims I have or just buy some of his 16" rims, but I won't do it long distance. If I get to the RMP Treffen next year I may make an attempt at that idea, but not via phone call or email.

That's just personal experience not totally related to this thread.
