Re: $45K 710M?
A few comments about this on the post for engine speed upgrade. For the most part took away the ability to
haul stuff. But ...it will get you there fast.

OK, I saw that on ebay, and recognized the truck. I think there was a thread on here about the build, but darned if I can find it. It appears to be a 712 with the 3rd axle removed. Is this correct? What's the transmission, a TD? Out of curiosity, can anyone here shed any light? Thanks for any info.

Paul, Paul, Paul.... Simple exchange of the 710 spacer to the shorter 712 spacer and you got that wheelbase. Reweld the spring and shock mount forward... lop off the a$$ and you got it.
That's how SDP made the 716 Shorties
And you thought standard 710's were squirrelly coming down a steep hill... think of even a 4" shorter wheelbase

Dave,
I suppose it could be done that way... D'oh! I guess that makes more sense, huh?
I always thought that would make an interesting chassis to put a Jeep body on. (See, some guys have no respect.)

Yeah Paul, logic doesn't go far on this forum.undysworld wrote:Dave,

Years ago, there were pics of a "conventional cab" on a Pinz drivetrain.... much easier to do than make a Pinz go fast, and still do some serious offroading.... at least for a gas Pinz
If you want to show a "lack of respect"... I thought it would be neat to drop a Toronado drivetrain midship into a Pinz, and make sure the life insurance was paid !

Re: $45K 710M?
We sold a 710M a few years back that was built by Jim Laguardia with the 2.7 and injected (not to mention disc brakes and a bunch of other goodies)
Anyway, this was definitely the fastest Pinz I've had the pleasure of driving. It felt about the same as a Honda Civic (non- Vtec) and it was awfully nice pulling out into traffic as opposed to the typical Pinz.
This truck was super clean and sold for $20K less than the one on ebay. Don't know anything about the one on ebay, but I thought that was a pretty nutty price for a 710.

Yeah. but that one has a skull on it...mine doesn't have a skull. I feel so 'stock'.
I thought about selling the krick3tt, ....maybe not.
Seems with a little paint and some extra goodies can really make the bucks roll in.
...and besides there is no mud on it.
