Another Movie Recommendation: The World's Fastest Indian

Post by undysworld »

If you've never seen it, this is a great flick. The story of Burt Munro, from New Zealand, and his land speed record setting Indian motorcycle. Here's some history on him: http://www.indianmotorbikes.com/feature ... /munro.htm

He reminds me of a certain Pinz mechanic I know... :)

Ahh, one of my favourite movies!.... I only watched it again the other night for about the 15th time.
When my sister and her husband were in NZ recently they visited Invercargill and a small museum dedicated to Burt......they brought me a book and DVD on his life, and it's amazing how well the movie captured his lifestyle and passion.

....I love his grass mowing method

That is a really terrific movie. It was the inspiration for a friend here in Houston to prepare his BMW 2002 race car to race it at Boneville and he set a record in the process (as far as I recall).
