I wanted to have a thread of suppliers of goods that are related to owning a Pinz, or any Real 4x4. Its purpose is to have a place to centralize all the stuff that we may (or may not have) shared once somewhere in the forums.

This thread is NOT FOR DISCUSSIONS, it is only for posting about what you have direct experience with. I'd like to keep it clean, simple and easy to browse through.

My first list:

SOUND CONTROL PRODUCTS:
http://www.fatmat.com They have some great vibration dampening materials (like Dynamat) but for less.
http://www.b-quiet.com Some more vibration dampening suppliers with some great prices.

CB RADIOS:
http://www.truckers-store.com/

TOUCH-UP PAINT:
http://automotivetouchup.com/spray_paint.asp A unique company who will custom mix to your paint code and ship out a spray can!

LIGHTING:
http://www.rallylights.com Been getting lights from them for a long time. 24v bulbs, headlights, etc.

TIRES:
http://www.tirerack.com/ Tires, often cheaper than the chains.

RESTORATION:
http://www.eastwood.com Tons of things to help with car restoration.

PART RE-BUILDERS:

Cabella's has waterproofing for very cheap. http://www.303products.com/303r-fabric-guard-16oz.html

This stuff is incredible on a canvas topper. UV protection to prevent color fade. Water beads right off. Also used it on the seats front and back.

I recommend you try this self-setting mouldable silicone rubber!
I've made washers, grommets, plugs, and most recently, using the red Sugru, covered the end of the battery master switch (so I can find it easily when I drop it in the grass!) It's available online, or in retailers all over Europe & N. America.
http://sugru.com

I've had great results with Bilt Hamber products, particularly rust removal and treatment/prevention products. Probably only for those of us in Europe, because of delivery costs, but worth consideration.

USA made recovery tow straps. http://www.uscargocontrol.com/Towing-Au ... Tow-Straps

These "Cargo Control" straps are one of the very few real recovery strap companies left. 99% of everything else you see out there is Chinese and not to be trusted.

ALL 4x4's need to have one of these. Minimum strap for a Pinz or Volvo should be a 2"x20'. For loaded 6x6's or above, 3" wide or 2-ply 2" should be the min.
