images on THIS website

You know when you click on this website you're treated to various alternating images of Pinzgauers (and a Volvo C303) on the top left of the screen? Well you occasionally see an orange sided 710 of some sort with what looks like an aftermarket grey slab sided hardtop set into the orange skin.

Does anyone know anything about this vehicle, or where the original photo came from? It looks funkily like something from Space 1999.

I think this particular truck belongs to member "WolfgangK". Active here and on the german forum.

Seeing this is making me want to try a fabrication myself, I am wondering how much weight savings I can achieve using aluminum as opposed to steel?
