Obviously the events in Newtown are horrendous beyond belief, and we are all, as a nation, trying to get through it. But I couldn't help noticing one of the first responder trucks. Does anybody know what it is?

Re: Connecticut Swat truck?
Its a RAID (Rescue, Access, Intervention, Deployment) vehicle - the platform on the roof extends and raises up to allow access over walls / fences and even second or third floor roofs.
No idea of the base vehicle manufacturer - looks a bit like an airport fire truck but smaller?

BAE Systems? Does this mean this truck is like my 710M's third degree cousin from a second marriage?
