Cold War Remarketing?

Post by Gozar »

I have been trying to call / email CWR for a couple of weeks, but they never respond.
Are they still in business?

This question gets repeated periodically, and I'm sure a search would show past threads.

Patrick has always come through for me, but it frequently took a long time for a response. Last time I corresponded, it sounded like he was involved in alternative fuels, somewhat to the exclusion of his Pinzgauer business. That was a couple years ago at least.

Troublingly, this topic always uncovers owners who have nothing but bad stuff to say for their experiences with him.

I wouldn't necessarily warn you away from CWR, but Caveat Emptor seems to apply.

Undy - I did do a search, and I saw some of the posts you were referencing - but I didn't see anything current. Thanks for the reply though...

I dealt with Patrick several years ago. Positive outcome, but I have discovered over time that SAV and EI have more parts that suit my needs.

I have stayed away mainly because of what I have read here. That, and SAV and EI are great to deal with and I will continue to do so.

Thanks for the info guys.

I wanted to order one of the Procomp steering stabilizers that he has - I don't see that on the other sites.
I think I can just get the part number and order it elsewhere.

Bumping an old thread just so new people might avoid any hassles.

Do not buy from Cold War Remarketing.

After placing my order for some hub steps that showed "in stock" my credit card was charged that same day plus shipping for my parts. That was September 3rd, it is now October 7th. No parts, no responses besides "thanks for your order". They never answer the phone, email, or fax. Buyer beware. Bunch of damn crooks.

I know this isn't really the place for this but...

I wanted to also give a shout out to SAV & EI. Sarah at SAV is awesome to work with and a big help. They have just about everything in stock and prices are good. When there is an issue, they take care of it. Great folks! Scott is also awesome. I have left him messages several times with questions and he always calls me back with a long detailed response. He makes no money on this and often has made suggestions that make him no further money. From my experience, he is a stand up guy and an asset to this community.

Never dealt with CWR.

Cheers

Yeah.. I had a horrible experience with cold crooks remarketing!! Stay away!! Patrick takes your money and never sends the product. He is impossible to get a hold via phone, fax or email. He's a total loser!
