Pinz on a Trailer

Post by jrcotner »

What are the recommended tie-down points to secure a Pinz onto a trailer for transport? I'm getting ready to transport my Pinz to Wisconsin and want to get some advice before the day of departure arrives. I've transported other framed vehicles before but, but considering the unique under carriage arrangement on the Pinz I wanted thought it best to get some expert opinions.
Thanks,
John Cotner

Wouldnt recommend the straps around the axles like they show in the first photo. You will damage the straps and potentially damage the brake lines.

I use hooks on the front support "triangles" and cross. I use the rear hitch as my back end strapping point. I also add a "safety line" to the rear, in the form of an additional strap to the rear eyelets. I do not torque the eyelets as close as i do the hitch. (probably doesnt do anything, but makes me feel better)
