EMP Resistance??

Post by ms1223 »

A question has come up about the design of the Pinzgauer. Is it EMP resistant in it's stock configuration?

If not what kind of spares would be required to keep it running?

Hmmm, and I thought you're refering to me being a heartless bastard.
There has to be a thread like that somewhere here... I know there's one on the yahoo group... Oh wait, that one says I'm an" unhelpful to Pinz owners " bastard ... I take exception to that!... I'm an equally unhelpful to all

Pinzgauers are not for preppers.

You want a vehicle with easy to replace components. You should search out a first generation dodge diesel - engine is almost 100% mechanical.

Early Ford Escort wagon is the perfect prepper-mobile. You can find parts for it anywhere. Good mileage.

You shouldn't let the logical application of your vehicle choice be dictated by your machismo. When the end-times come, no one will care what type of vehicle you roll.

A pinz would be a great getaway vehicle from cops armed with this device:
