Enjoying the Pinzgauer

Post by JimmyC »

I have finally moved into my new shop and have a chance to tinker with the Pinzgauer a bit. I was able to chase down the short that kept killing the battery, fix the shifter linkage, fix the horn, repair the exhaust leaks, and get the gas gauge to mostly work. I find it a pleasurable thing to work on. Pretty reasonable access, not too complex, but interesting to sort out. One thing I definitely want to do is get some extension cables so I can fiddle with the dash panel with the dash out of the truck. I started looking and measuring for the power steering but need to get a bit better understanding of the electrical system first. I was surprised how much wire they have unprotected by breakers.
