UK Armed Forces Day

Post by ScottishPinz »

My Pinzgauer was part of the historic military vehicle display at Stirling, Scotland to celebrate Armed Forces Day UK. Only one other Pinzgauer there from 105 Regiment towing the 105 mm field gun. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 509b704766

GG would enjoy the L119

Did you happen to get any photos of the inside of the cab of that 718?
I was wondering if it was a older 6 cyl TD because of the SDP logo instead of the Pinzgauer "gear" logo? I've wondered when they made the change, if it was when they made the change to the 5 cylinder TDI?

As always, cool photos. thanks

Cool.. this is the only way I can see newer TDs from 5000miles away to see the differences

It’s the 2.4TD (3rd version). It has a metal doghouse like my old 716. You do need that insulated wrap on the doghouse. Without it , you could burn yourself... might be able to warm your tea.

Other than the doghouse and some additional electronics and different warning lamps, they are virually the same as the TDI

Thanks
